Founder & Principal
Chris Brown is the founder and principal of Chris J. Brown LLC, an independent marine industry consultancy based in Jupiter, Florida. His career spans aerospace engineering at Kennedy Space Center, the founding and successful sale of BluSkies International LLC to SeaStar Solutions/Dometic Group, and decades of hands-on work in marine fuel systems.
A recognized authority in fuel system compliance, Chris serves as a Technical Referral Resource and an industry Technical Contributor. His expertise covers the full regulatory landscape governing marine fuel systems — EPA 40 CFR Part 1060, CARB certification, USCG 33 CFR Part 183, and ABYC standards — along with specialized knowledge in rotational molding, barrier technologies and gas has helped bring innovative production solutions to multiple fuel tank manufacturers.
Chris holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. When he's not helping boat builders and molders navigate certification, he's on the water, a lifelong boater whose passion for the industry began on the other side of the Atlantic and never let up.
